CSXACe's video: UP 1996 Southern Pacific Visits NJ: Morning Railfanning in Manville NJ

On Tuesday November 20, 2012 Norfolk Southern 212 was assigned a set of power that would feature Union Pacific 1996 the Southern Pacific heritage unit on the point. I had debated whether or not I wanted to go out for this as it would require me missing school and waking up before dawn, but then it hit me; this is a foreign heritage unit, and I couldn't miss an opportunity to shoot this locomotive so close to home. The next morning I arrived in Manville, NJ by 7:00 and had the chance to film a few Norfolk Southern trains prior to 212 which sported some interesting power like an all AC lash-up on 11J and two consecutively number SD70M-2's on 22V. Then the train of the day finished off the morning action with UP 1996 the Southern Pacific heritage unit leading in absolutely perfect sunlight.
