Ces deux dernières années, des effets relativistes à proximité immédiate de Sgr A* - redshift gravitationnel et précession de Schwarzschild- ont été mesurés grâce à une étoile qui s'en approche de près, l'étoile S2. Aujourd'hui, la collaboration GRAVITY publie la détection d'une étoile très faible et extrêmement proche du trou noir supermassif, faisant d'elle un potentiel outil fondamental pour son étude détaillée.
