Cali Camper Family's video: 3 Week VW Camper Tour - Family of 5 - Part 3 Germany - D sseldorf Koblenz and the Black Forest

In the summer of 2019 we made a 3-4 week trip with 3 kids in our beloved VW California. We started in South Cornwall touring around various lovely sites, and then up to Lincolnshire and Norfolk, and then across to France for a nightstop before calling in at the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon in Germany and following the Rhine river down through the Black Forest, and across the Alps back to Italy. It was such a long and epic trip that we decided to split it into 3 videos. Finally we tour through the Black Forest staying 2 nights before heading home to Italy. We visited the show for 2 days. The facilites do include toilet waste disposal, showers, toilets and evening entertainment with food available, but no washing up facilities. There is no playground and the parking area is very busy and large so you can be a 15 minute walk from the facilities. Aircraft noise could be an issue as it is very close. https://www.caravan-salon.com/ Koblenz - our favourite site of the tour. This site is in a stunning location where the Rhine and Mosel meet, overlooking the river and fortress. The facilities were outstanding and families are well catered for. We recommend pre-booking. https://www.knauscamp.de/koblenz/ Camping Langenwald, Black Forest. This is a beautiful site set in the forest with a stream running through. Outstanding facilities, great for families. We would have liked to stay here longer with our bikes but it was booked. We recommend pre-booking. https://www.camping-langenwald.de/de/ Camping Schluchsee, Black Forest. This is set on Lake Schluchsee with again, great facilities. This site had a central facilities block with family bathrooms, indoor underfloor heated playroom and kitchen. However we didn't find the owners very friendly. http://www.camping-schluchsee.de/ We visited Triberg in the centre of the Black Forest which has Germany's highest waterfalls and is famous for cuckoo clocks.
