Cali Camper Family's video: VW Camper Family of 5 SUP Boarding on Lake Maggiore vanlife

With the weather being so unpredictable we planned a camping trip - we just didn't know where to go! So a last-minute decision was made to go up Lake Maggiore and stay 2 nights at a shore-line pitch. We stayed in Maccagno, a beautiful part of Lake Maggiore which butts out into the lake and has great views. It's so great to be able to plan everything so last-minute with a California! We didn't expect the weather to be so stormy, but it was great to snuggle up in the VW California and cosy up, especially as we were trying out a new Pucer Screen for the pop-up roof, and we LOVE IT! It kept a lot of the storm noise out, kept it cool in the heat and was a lot darker for sleeping. Luckily for us the weather brightened and we had a go at Stand Up Paddle boarding on the lake and enjoyed some great family time exploring and visiting beautiful Luino on the way home.
