*WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE WATCHING* There was a period where I would scroll down my Instagram feed until I would reach a photo I remembered seeing. This lead me to constantly be scrolling which kept me from being present and impaired my focusing. Social media can be great and enjoyable, but often leads people to feeling anxious or depressed as we see so many photos/videos portraying a fake life that we then compare ours to. Comparison is never fair. Ever. Everything and everyone has a purpose, meaning comparing one life to another will never be fair, especially when you are comparing your 24 hour day to someones few seconds. This content that is capturing a moment, or few seconds, is almost always of posed people and then afterwards edited. Everything looks more glamorous on photo even more so after editing. Again no comparison is fair. Please reread everything above and actually let it resonate with you. I have felt like putting a stop to creating videos as I never want my content to make someone feel down. If you are watching for only entertainment purposes or maybe a deeper reason, for example learning about a place, understand that no matter what kind of video I or anyone uploads, even if it is a “vlog” it is always far from reality. Do not let this noise misinform you. I am human, meaning i have bad days and deal with issues, like everyone else. This is not even somewhat close to a one hundred percent accurate representation of my life. This may sound obvious for some, but I used to not know this, and feel as if there are others who might not either. Especially nowadays when the internet and social media is so easily accessible with no age restriction. Some of the younger generations growing up with it might not know.
