@iPad Air vs. iPad (8th Gen): Is the iPad Air $300 better? Which one should you buy in 2020?
iPad Air has a better screen, speakers, and design, but most people should buy the regular iPad. iPad (8th Gen): https://amzn.to/39q4fjY iPad Air (2020): https://amzn.to/39pPvBs Blog Post: https://camsecore.com/powermoves/ipad/ Summary: The iPad Air (4th Gen) is terrific, but there aren't many people who should buy it because it's $599. The iPad Air is great if you have no budget constraints and want the best consumption device on the market. But unfortunately, iPad Air won’t replace a real computer completely. The entry-level iPad (8th Gen) has more than enough power to do any task you throw at it. And it's just $329, which makes it one of the best deals in tech. iPad (8th Gen) Downsides: 1. The design is dated. It still looks similar to the original iPad from 10 years ago (just slimmer). But when looking at it practically, the design shouldn't matter much. 2. It has an air gap, which means that the glass is not laminated to the LCD. When you tap the touchscreen, it moves slightly and doesn't feel solid. It's a strange experience when coming from an iPhone, but most people will either get used to the gap or not even notice it. iPad Air (4th Gen) Advantages: 1. It has a better display because the glass is glued to the LCD screen. When you touch the display, it feels like a unified piece, just like an iPhone. 2. It comes in six colors and has square edges. 3. It has terrific stereo speakers that are great for watching movies. 4. Its front-facing camera looks like a substantial upgrade on paper. But in real life, the difference is minimal (unless bright lights are shining behind you). 5. It works with Apple’s Magic Keyboard, but the total purchase price would be $899. Keep in mind, the MacBook Air is $999 and has much more to offer.
