It didn’t seem to matter if I used two or three nodes. I ran into two minor issues when installing Deco, but I still got my system running in under 20 minutes. The setup is just not as smooth as Eero. My Deco system worked for five weeks without a single hiccup. Deco allows for more customizations. For instance, you can manually prioritize individual devices and disable the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz band at any time. Neither of these features is essential because most will probably prefer Eero’s hands-off approach instead. Deco lets parents add content filters on profiles, just like Eero, but it’s all FREE.
