The short of this video? I still love my Peloton and ride it 3-4 times per week. If I could do things over, I’d still buy the Bike Plus for $2,495. But the smart move for most people is to save the $750 and buy the regular Bike. There’s one big thing that I missed in my original review last year. Originally, I didn’t consider the Bike Plus’ more accurate calibration system compared to the regular Bike. For the ultra-competitive who want accurate output scores no matter what, the Bike Plus might make more sense. But the improved calibration system probably isn’t a necessity because most people use their Peloton Bike as a tool to make exercise more fun and motivating. The Peloton landscape has evolved since last year too. The Four Things That Changed The price of the regular Bike is $150 less. Delivery times for the Bike Plus have gone from 2-3 months to 2-3 weeks. There are third-party swivel mount accessories to make the regular Bike’s screen rotate. Peloton’s business may be in trouble. With a new CEO, 3,000 laid-off employees, and the stock price down 75% from the peak, they could become an acquisition target. Will content and company change?
