After 9 years of the CPA, the government of Nepal formed the TRC and CIEDP commissions in 2015 based on the faulty TRC law that promotes impunity on serious human rights violations. The TJ process of Nepal is not owned and supported by the victims, civil society and international community including the UN. The TJ mechanisms lapsed important 5 years without prosecuting even a single perpetrator. The government is yet to revise the law as per the verdict of the SC in February 2015. Recently, the victims have demanded to revise the law and appoint the commissioners under the revised law. Despite unfavorable political climate, the victims and their families continue their fight for truth and justice in Nepal!
