How to Fake Tan Pale Skin Hey guys! In today's video I share with you all my tips and tricks when it comes to fake tanning. There is one super important step that hardly anyone follows when it comes to fake tanning and I share it with you today! After you've applied your tan and waited the recommended hours before washing off the tan; make sure you DO NOT use soap in that first shower! If you use soap you are just washing off the tans developer; which means you've basically wasted your time. A tan needs minimum 12 hours to develop, washing off the tan with soap before this 12 hours will wash away the potential the tan will give you. Instead, when you "wash your tan off" just rinse under lukewarm water. I also recommend not skipping the rinse off step otherwise the tans bronzer (which is in every tan) will just rub off onto anything you touch (bed sheets included). Also, make sure you moisturise your hands, knees, elbows and feet before applying your tan so you get an even, streak free application and avoid excess buildup of tan in these areas! Another great tip is to ALWAYS exfoliate and shave an hour (or more) before applying the tan. If you exfoliate/shave then tan immediately after your pores will still be open; which will give your tan brown spots all over your legs.
