Carl Surry's video: Affinity Photo - Faux HDR

@Affinity Photo - Faux HDR
Affinity Photo – Faux HDR When HDR images are done correctly, they use 3 or more differently exposed images and blend them together. You can also fake this by processing a single image multiple time to get different exposures and then blend them together. In this method, I do not worry too much about exposure but concentrate on colour and detail. I make two images from a single file (RAW is best but JPG will work also). One getting strong colours and no detail and the other strong detail but not boosting the colours. Then I just blend the two together. It is not to everyone’s taste but I like the look and if you save the settings as Pre-set’s in the Develop Persona you can use them time and again, and tinker with them before developing the image or once developed you can tinker with the blended image then.
