Join me for a tour of "Perfect Strangers" the mosaic installation by artist Vik Muniz, fabricated by master mosaicists, Mayer of Munich. The work is installed in the 72nd and 2nd Ave subway station in NYC. As your tour guide, I will talk about mosaics from a mosaicist's viewpoint, showing you the pieces up close, in detail. These mosaics are exceptional mosaic artworks. If you can't get to New York to see them in person, this is a great way to enjoy them. *There is an error in my narrative in the video--I identified the man in the tiger suit as the artist, Vik Muniz. The man in the tiger suit is actually his son! Vik Muniz himself is depicted as the man chasing his papers falling out of his briefcase. Thank you for watching! Carol
