We recently sat down with Bryan Como, Maintenance Technician faculty member at the Phoenix Trades Education Center, to learn more about the profession, what it takes to find success, and some of the cool things the Trades Education Center has to offer. Bryan has more than 24 years of experience working in the trades industry bringing a wealth of knowledge to the position having worked with complex industrial technologies such as power distributors, motor controls, power electronics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics and gas combustion heaters. Como earned an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology and a Journeyman Wireman diploma through The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. Since 1996 he has worked, taught and lectured on industrial power electronics, automation and mechanical technology throughout North America.
