The crew of the Manta Ray plunge the watery depths of cartoon history for two of the creepiest cartoons of all time, and they're about a frog, a cat, and a (dead) mouse! "Flip the Frog" is an animated cartoon character created by American animator Ub Iwerks, who was the original animator for Mickey Mouse before leaving the studio to direct these "Flip" shorts, now largely forgotten by time. This creepy cartoon, "Spooks" from 1933, captures the spirit of depression era spookiness. It's has the perfect amount of jangly bones to get in that mood. "The Haunted Mouse is a 1941 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoon directed by Tex Avery. This film was the first cartoon written by Michael Maltese. The short was released on February 15, 1941. It's a dark twist on the cat and mouse game, with a beautifully designed ghost town from the Warner Bros. Termite Terrace crew.
