Casey Zeman's video: This sh t aint easy There is no safety net in business or life

“This ain’t easy.” What ain’t easy? Well, yes life, in general, is a series of dangling from trees, barely hanging on moments. I once slid down a rock face at a national park almost going over the edge of a 200ft gorge. Somehow, someway right before going over the edge my body stopped.  I always remember that moment. Because I fought for dear life to stop from going over and it was only that final second when it seemed hopeless did I end up with my legs dangling over the cliff edge clutching onto a patch of grass that I miraculously found.  I imagine what would have happened if I didn’t fight. If I just let myself slide down with full force over the edge. In the 5 seconds of sliding down I thought to myself. Maybe it will be ok. Maybe there is body of water over the edge. And if I would have stuck with that notion and just let go, I would have fallen 200ft to my death.  I think about this story/life event and how it relates to my life as an entrepreneur. But more so as a human. And how it might relate to your life too.  What if we had to all dangle from trees as a test of persistence, will and endurance...? Waiting till we found a leverage point to climb up them? Because it might seem like the easiest thing just to let go but in all reality, letting go can often result in devastating consequences. Not always. But sometimes.
