Cassandra Delynn - Natural Fit Mom's video: Awkward kick combo 7 and 8

WARNING! Super awkward video of me practicing two new kick combos. I don’t mind sharing the struggle because hopefully you’ll also see the incremental progress that has me excited about coming back for more. We always practice without the pads first and once I’ve proven my form and knowledge of the sequence, I get to kick the pads. The first is kick combo - curl, round, back leg round, spinning hook. Lol...I’ve got everything except the spin at the end. The hand on the ground helps and as you can see, I kinda get it in the end. The second is kick combo - leaping front kick, roundhouse and backfist. Lol... I’m this case, ive got the last part, the roundhouse and back fist...I struggled with making contact on the front kick, which comes first. Well, you know me by now and I keep going until I get it. It’s painfully awkward, but dammit I did it! I keep trying to tell you...because I mean it. It REALLY is not about perfection. It’s about stretching yourself, developing new skills, growing your mindset and staying in an inquisitive learning mode. I’ll never be a pro fighter. But I AM a woman who said “ah, f*ck it. Let’s try something new and have fun with it”. I’m pretty sure I’ll look back on that decision, just as fondly some day. And besides, my daughter is proud of me regardless! 😊
