As the 3DS winds down and the Switch gears up for the first Fire Emblem home console release since Radiant Dawn, Intelligent Systems sends the former system off with the unexpected remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. A game more well known for its influence on later games like The Sacred Stones and Awakening than its actual contents, does Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia make for a fantastic return of one of the more odd entries in Fire Emblem' s history?
