"The Lost Daughter" directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Olivia Colman will be streaming on Netflix December 31st and currently in theaters. Tells the story of a woman on vacation who begins thinking of her past and confronted by odd circumstances. I'm going to make this short and sweet. Olivia Colman is a LEGEND and even made this off-putting film watchable, however my praise stops there. It's a dark look at motherhood and takes a different approach but overall it just doesn't work. It wasn't enjoyable and made little to no sense. Only watch this if you love Colman otherwise it's an easy one to skip. Nice try Gyllenhaal.
