"Bellfast" is Written and Directed by Kenneth Branagh and tells a true story from his life about a family growing up in 1960s Belfast Ireland. The film is very wholesome and sweet with moments of humor, perfect Oscar bait. I loved the performances however found the story drab and melodramatic at times. It feels like something I've seen before and if it weren't for seeing on the big screen, I'd probably forget about it within a day. I'm a bit torn because I know people will connect and love this film, I'm just more interested in conflict and struggle. "Belfast" is playing in a theater near you.
