@Challenged Athletes Live: Episode 64 | Samantha Tucker
Join us for an engaging conversation with Bob Babbitt and US Air Force Veteran and Paralympic athlete Samantha Tucker. In 2010, Samantha lost her left arm below the elbow in a motorcycle crash resulting in more than 14 surgeries in 15 months. She started doing things she never did before and it was there that Tucker found, through archery, inner peace and a form of meditation. For the first time in her life, Tucker said she felt that she mattered and started getting excited for life. In 2014 she started competing in archery and by 2015 was selected for the US para-archery team. In 2016, she made history by being the first woman to represent the US in the Open Compound Para Archery Division in the 2016 Paralympics Today, with the support of Operation Rebound, Sammi is becoming a certified yoga instructor and teaches sport as a self-help tool.
