Hector Rivera was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury as a result of gun violence at age 13. Wheelchair basketball became his outlet. He played for the first ever wheelchair football league, helping win the first national championship for the wheelchair L.A. Rams! “I am a better person, teammate, and friend because of wheelchair basketball,” he says. With a CAF grant for a PER4MAX Thunder basketball chair, Hector will be able to keep doing what he loves!
