In this bonus episode we take a look at the Sturmgeschütz IV in detail, looking at the deployment history, colour schemes and specifications. Sturmgeschütz (abbreviated into StuG) meaning "assault gun" was a series of armored vehicles used by the Germans during the Second World War and primarily consisted of the StuG III and StuG IV. The more common of the two, the StuG III, was built on the chassis of the proven Panzer III. The Sturmgeschütz IV came about due to Krupp offering to supply an assault gun. Krupp did not build Panzerkampfwagen IIIs so they used the Panzerkampfwagen IV chassis in combination with a modified Sturmgeschütz III superstructure.
