We found some small cultural differences between American and Chinese parenting when it comes to spending and educational costs. While Chinese parents would love to pay for, within and beyond their abilities, children's educational costs, American parents like to teach the kids about fencing for themselves at a young age. Everything has two sides, right? For Chinese youth, living under relatively stressless environment is kind of a must for them because of the horrible amount of homework they have to do. But it also took away their time to experience working and managing their own income earlier. For some American teens and college students, they start working early, but work can cut into school work and be very exhausting. If not balanced well, working a part-time job can be dangerous!
