The electric guitar really comes down to the down to the tone which means we want to shape the compression and eq to bring out a tight sound for our listeners. Once we shape the eq and apply a good compression then we can add a reverb that will fit within your song. The reverb will really depend on where you want the guitar within your mix. For instance, if you want to the electric guitar to be upfront in the mix or in the back of the mix then we can use reverb help us. I'm also going to look at how we can side chain the electric guitar with our kick drum so that the low end frequencies don't fight too much. This could depend on the quality of your guitar recording or if your record includes any low end frequencies or not.
