Charles S.'s video: Fanimation Crease 36 Ceiling Fan c 2016 with FanSync

White finish with white plastic blades. Manufactured in 2016. Uses a 153x10mm motor. Light kit uses a 75w mini-can halogen bulb. Reverse switch is on top of motor housing. Comes with a CR500 universal remote. The Crease, lasting from 2016 to 2018, was part of Fanimation's 'Studio Collection,' a less expensive line of fans primarily sold at Lowes, but also via online retailers such as Amazon and Wayfair. Compared to their regular Showroom Collection (the regular line), the Studio Collection cuts costs by using smaller motors, cheaper materials, and reduced features... however, this is not detrimental for the Crease. Performance is actually not bad for a 36" fan, especially considering the odd pitch angle of the plastic blades. While this fan did come with a remote, the remote/receiver did not work properly... and this is where FanSync comes in. FanSync is a Bluetooth or Wifi-connected control system; Bluetooth Fansync allows one to control the fan from their phone or other smart devices via the FanSync app (free), while Wifi Fansync allows the fan to be controlled by integrated smart home devices such as Google Home or Alexa, often with voice activation. So.. since the original remote did not work, I dug up a surplus Bluetooth FanSync receiver, wired it up, and simply controlled it from my phone. The secondary speeds from the receiver are a little bit fast for this fan, but not terribly so. The Crease was Fanimation's first (and so far, only) true small fan. I can only imagine that it will become increasingly uncommon as time progresses.
