Oil rubbed bronze finish with 52" narrow dark bamboo blades. Manufactured in 2016. Uses a DC-165L brushless DC spinner motor and a 6-speed remote; this motor is also found in the 84" Odyn. The irons are pitched to 20 degrees. The Big Island was the larger sibling to the Islander AC and DC, designed to handle larger blade spans up to 80". So... what happens when you put a set of shorter blades on such a large motor? Well, you incite chaos. Performance with this 52" set is *outstanding*; speed 1 is a relatively normal low speed, already a bit faster than the low of your typical Islander; by speed 3, it has matched the high speed of the normal Islander; by the time high speed (6) rolls around, it blows virtually every other typical tropical/palm-blade fan out of the water. Many customers complain about the poor performance from your typical tropical fans; however, if the Big Island had been marketed more for smaller blade spans, as well as the comedically large, it would've been a far greater success.
