Then we are going to add fenugreek seeds and cook the onions further until they turn light golden brown. Time to add the tomatoes and cook them until they soften up. When the tomatoes are softened it is time to add ginger garlic paste and masoor daal or red lentils. Cook until the red lentils are softer. Time to add the chicken and cook it until it changes it's color. When the chicken changes it's color add black pepper, crushed red chilies, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, crushed red chili peppers and red chili powder. Mix all of these ingredients well with the chicken. Time to add salt and you can do it according to your own taste. Add a cup of water, lower the heat, cover and cook the chicken until it is completely cooked. Time to add the boiled chickpeas in the pan and cook them until the oil starts surfacing. When the oil surfaces add garam masala, chopped green chilies and chopped coriander leaves. Simmer it for 4-5 more minutes and your Murgh Channay aka Chicken Chickpea Curry is read to be served. Eat it with naan or rice or even roti it is all up to you just don't eat it with noodles.
