Chemonics International's video: Vietnam s Transition to a Country-Led Supply Chain

From 2016 to 2020, the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project through PEPFAR supported the Vietnamese government in ensuring the delivery and regular availability of antiretrovirals (ARVs) at treatment facilities throughout the country. The project helped with building and strengthening the HIV supply chain so that people living with HIV have consistent accessibility to ARVs by working closely with the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC), the National Centralised Drug Procurement Center (NCDPC) and the Vietnam Social Security (VSS). As the project support drew to a close, Vietnam's Ministry of Health can now easily procure and supply ARVs for people living with HIV, mostly funded by the country's Social Health Insurance mechanism.
