Here's how we take off those ugly health warning stickers from cigar boxes. We use an ordinary hairdryer, there's no need for a nothing more powerful than that. Just make sure the label is nicely warmed up before you attempt to start peeling it off, and keep the heat on it as you go. To get rid of any sticky residue we use squirt of Servisol switchcleaner on a clean cloth, but naphtha or lighter fluid will also work. It's advisable to test this on an unobtrusive part of the box (such as the inside where the paper cover is wrapped over) to ensure that the print or paint won't be affected by the solvent. These solvents are HIGHLY FLAMMABLE, so keep them away from the hairdryer and any other potential sources of ignition when you are doing this., and keep your work area well ventilated.
