@Sucking, Rooting & Snout Reflexes - Brain Therapy for Neonatal & General Reflexes (BR) - Dr Chikly
www.ChiklyInstitute.com We apologize for the sound quality and the image quality as it was genuinely taken during a class. Assessment and treatment of retained neonatal reflexes in adults. The treatment can take approximately four to six minutes. After treatment the patient experienced changes in his oral cavity, his voice, as well as in his posture and emotional state. Brain Therapy for Neonatal & General Reflexes (BR) Many children and adults have neurological disorders, learning disabilities or cognitive challenges. It has been found that those being tested have often retained reflexes or may have reoccurring neonatal / primary reflexes. These reflexes should have been inhibited earlier in life. Children can keep their primary reflexes for longer than necessary for optimal development. Neonatal reflex inhibition allows for more sophisticated neurological structures to develop and remain prevalent. Adults can see the reoccurrence of these neonatal / developmental reflexes in many pathologies, including trauma, whiplash, PTSD, Parkinson’s, stroke, dementia, etc. Retained and reoccurring reflexes can create numerous neurological dysfunctions, learning disabilities and sensory integration dysfunctions. In children, these primary reflexes can be found in learning disabilities, processing disorders / sensory integration dysfunctions, trauma, PTSD, cerebral palsy, ADD/ ADHD, problems with focus and concentration, vestibular integration issues, balance issues, poor postural control, social skills issues, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia / developmental coordination disorders, speech development disorders, speech language delays, auditory and visual processing, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome (trisomy), etc. The Brain Therapy Curriculum is an advanced-level course that takes us to the next realm of manual therapy. It explores the brain, spinal cord and related pathologies such as closed-head injuries, whiplash, headaches, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, cognitive behavioral dysfunctions, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Students will learn specific techniques to release brain-centered restrictions as well as the damaging effects that these restrictions cause. These are advanced classes that use a slightly different paradigm by working extensively with the brain parenchyma, grey and white matter, cranial and spinal nerves and vascular structures rather than mainly concentrating on the cranial bones and membranes. The body often aligns itself around these precise structures and they are frequently unaddressed key/dominant tissue restrictions. Many topics are covered including 1- Cranial bones (intraosseous and interosseous lesions), 2- Cranial membranes in all anatomical directions 3- Fluid: 3 distinct compartments A- Subarachnoid spaces and cerebral cisterns B- Brain parenchyma and the glymphatic system C- Ventricles 4- Grey Matter: 3 and 6 layered cortex and brain nuclei 5- White Matter: 3 types of organization 6- Electro-magnetic field (EMF) of the brain 7- Emotions, mental or spiritual dimensions
