HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN (DELHI) TO MUMBAI (MAHARASHTRA) : FULL TRAIN JOURNEY : 12908 HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN - BANDRA TERMINUS MAHARASHTRA SAMPARK KRANTI SUPERFAST EXPRESS : INDIA'S FASTEST SAMPARK KRANTI EXPRESS TRAIN : GZB WAP-5 LOCOMOTIVE ; INDIAN RAILWAYS 12908/Maharashtra Sampark Kranti Express (PT) महाराष्ट्र सम्पर्क क्रांति एक्सप्रेस NZM/Hazrat Nizamuddin -- BDTS/Bandra Terminus The 12907 / 12908 Maharashtra Sampark Kranti Express is a bi-weekly Sampark Kranti Express train which runs between Bandra Terminus in Mumbai and Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi, India. This train was introduced as one of the Sampark Kranti trains which were announced by the then railways minister Nitish Kumar in 2004/2005 rail budget. It is a bi-weekly train. Earlier on it would leave Bandra Terminus and after a halt at Borivali would go non stop until Hazrat Nizamuddin except for operational halts. Given the poor patronage to this train, the operational stops were changed to commercial stops. Thus, it now also halts at Vadodara Junction and Kota Junction (for crew change). It used to run with ICF coach, but now runs with LHB coach since 15 January 2017. As Western Railway has changed over to AC traction, Vadodara Junction is now an operational halt. It is now hauls by a Vadodara-based WAP-7 (HOG) equipped locomotive from end to end. The train consists of 22 coaches : 1 AC I Tier 2 AC II Tier 6 AC III Tier 8 Sleeper coaches + SLR 1 Pantry car 3 General 1 End-on Generator Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (station code: NZM) is a railway station in South Delhi, India. It is under the administrative control of the Delhi Division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It is one of the five main stations in Delhi and handles nearly 250 trains daily The station was named after the Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin. Hazrat Nizamuddin station was upgraded to help relieve congestion at New Delhi railway station and is recommended for first-time travellers, particularly those bound for Agra, as it is less busy and easier to navigate. The station is very close to Sarai Kale Khan - Nizamuddin metro station on the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. It is adjacent to Delhi's two important arteries, the Ring Road and Mathura Road, and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT. Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station is managed by Northern Railway zone of Indian Railways. Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station connects all the major cities and was developed to ease congestion on New Delhi which is located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to the north. It originates and terminates Rajdhani Express trains going towards Bengaluru, Chennai, Secunderabad, Madgaon, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. As part of an Indian Railways plan to save ₹41,000 crore in energy consumption and generate 1000 megawatts (MW) from solar power, 500 MW from rooftop solar, in 2016 Northern Railways contracted with Vivaan Solar, a company based in Gwalior, to install 0.6 MW of rooftop solar at Hazrat Nizamuddin station. The solar power project is to be set up under a Public Private Partnership on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis. The company will also be responsible for maintaining the plant for a period of 25 years. Mumbai Bandra Terminus (station code: BDTS) also known as Vandre Terminus (in Marathi)is a railway terminus in Bandra from where trains bound for Northern India and Western India are scheduled regularly. It was built in the 1990s to decongest the main Mumbai Central station. It is one of the five railway terminus within Greater Mumbai. The other four terminals are – Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai Central, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Dadar. It is close to Bandra Kurla Complex, a commercially important part of Mumbai as well as Mumbai Airport.
