COIMBATORE (TAMIL NADU) TO HISAR (HARYANA) : FULL TRAIN JOURNEY : 22476 COIMBATORE - HISAR AC SUPERFAST EXPRESS : LOCOMOTIVE CHANGE AT MANGALURU JUNCTION FROM ERODE WAP-7 TO BGKT WDP-4 : INDIAN RAILWAYS. 22476/Coimbatore - Hisar AC SF Express (PT) कोयम्बत्तूर - हिसार वातानुकूलित सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस CBE/Coimbatore Junction -- HSR/Hisar Junction The 22475 / 22476 Hisar–Coimbatore AC Superfast Express[1] (previously Bikaner–Coimbatore AC Superfast Express) is a fully air conditioned, Superfast Express train operated by the Bikaner Division of North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. The train connects Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Haryana. Train numbered 22475 starts from Hisar Junction at 12:50 hrs on Wednesdays and reaches Coimbatore Junction at 17:10 hrs on Fridays. For the return journey, train numbered 22476 leaves Coimbatore Junction at 12:45 hrs on Saturdays and reaches Hisar Junction at 16:00 hrs on Mondays. This train got its LHB coach from 9 August 2018. This train is operated through Konkan Railway route. It covers distance of 2941 km. Both trains are hauled by a Bhagat Ki Kothi Diesel Loco Shed-based WDP-4 / WDP-4B / WDP-4D diesel locomotive from Hisar to till Mangaluru handing over to Erode or Royapuram based WAP-7 from Mangaluru to Coimbatore. The train reverses its direction once at Bikaner Junction. It is one of the busiest railway stations in South India and serves as a gateway to the Nilgiri hills, a popular tourist destination. The station is operated by the Southern Railway zone of Indian Railways and has six platforms. Coimbatore is the second highest revenue generating station in the Southern Railway after Chennai Central and Egmore railway stations and is the station that generates about 45 percent of the revenue of the Salem Railway division.Coimbatore Junction is an important junction connecting major cities such as Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. It also serves as a gateway to several popular tourist destinations such as Ooty and Kodaikanal. This station comes under the jurisdiction of Salem division of Southern Railways and contributes to 50% of the revenues of the zone. It is one of the top booking stations in India according to Indian Railways. Chennai Main, Egmore, Madurai Junction, Coimbatore Junction and Chennai Central are the most profitable stations of Southern Railways. The station is a junction formed by the following 4 lines ; Jolarpettai–Peelamedu-Coimbatore line Coimbatore–Shoranur line Coimbatore–Pollachi line Coimbatore–Mettupalayam branch line Coimbatore–Nanjundapuram-Vellalore-Irugur line Hisar Junction railway station (railway code: HSR) is an A-category railway station, under the Bikaner railway division of North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways, located at Hisar city in Hisar district of Haryana state of India. The station consists of 6 platforms, with 6 broad-gauge mostly electrified tracks of Bathinda–Rewari line and Jakhal–Hisar–Sadalpur line, going in 4 directions at an average speed of 120 km/hours. Hisar is one of the 400 stations to be redeveloped with international and private partners for modernization on international standards and optimizing the commercial opportunities. In fy2018–19 budget on 9 March 2018, Captain Abhimanyu, Finance Minister of Haryana, announced that the government is in talks with Indian railway to introduce 200 km/hour speed rail from Hisar to Delhi once the under-construction Rohtak–Hansi rail link is completed. The railway station is about 2 km (1.2 mi) from the bus station along the National Highway 9, 6 km (3.7 mi) from the Hisar Airport, 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town center & main market area, 2 km (1.2 mi) from the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, 4 km (2.5 mi)from the Blue Bird Lake, 1 km (0.62 mi) from Mahabir Stadium. Under the NCR Proposed Transport Plan, a high-speed rail Delhi–Hisar Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) link is also planned.
