It operates as train number 16333 from Veraval Junction to Thiruvananthapuram Central and as train number 16334 in the reverse direction, serving the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra & Gujarat. Originally the train began operations in 1984 as Ahmedabad–Trivandrum Express which later on was extended to Rajkot as Trivandrum–Rajkot Express. Now this train has been extended up to Veraval. Since 25 July, this train runs with LHB coach. 16333/Veraval–Thiruvananthapuram Express has average speed of 53 km/h and covers 2,401 km in 45 hrs 30 mins. 16334/Thiruvananthapuram–Veraval Express has average speed of 50 km/h and covers 2,401 km in 48 hrs 10 mins. Originally as Trivandrum Rajkot Express train ran on routes via Palakkad–Krishnarajapuram–Guntakal–Solapur–Pune–Vasai–Vadodara. In the early 1990s with opening the Konkan Railway the train routes were changed. Now the 16333/34 Thiruvananthapuram–Veraval Express runs from Thiruvananthapuram Central via Kollam Junction, Ernakulam Junction, Shoranur Junction, Mangalore Junction, Madgaon Junction, Ratnagiri, Panvel, Vasai Road,Valsad, , Navsari, Surat, Vadodara Junction, Ahmedabad Junction, Rajkot Junction, Junagadh Junction to Veraval Junction and vice versa. The train shares its rake with 12697/12698 Chennai–Thiruvananthapuram Superfast Express. Both trains are hauled by an Electric Loco Shed, Erode-based WAP-4 or WAP-7 between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Mangaluru Junction. After Mangaluru Junction, both trains are hauled by a Diesel Loco Shed, Ernakulam-based WDP-4D up to Veraval Junction, and vice versa. The train has LHB coach with max speed of 130 km/h (81 mph). The train consists of 22 coaches : 1 AC 2 tier 6 AC 3 tier 10 Sleeper class 1 Pantry car 2 Unreserved/General 2 Seating cum Luggage Rake Thiruvananthapuram Central, formerly Trivandrum Central (also known as Thampanoor railway station) (station code: TVC), is a major railway station which serves the city of Thiruvananthapuram (formerly Trivandrum), capital of Kerala state, India. It is the busiest railway station in Kerala and an important rail hub in Southern Railway. The building of the railway station is one of the iconic landmarks of Thiruvananthapuram. The station is located at the heart of the city opposite to Central bus station Thiruvananthapuram at Thampanoor. The station has book-shops, restaurants, accommodation and Internet browsing centers. A satellite station was opened in 2005 at Kochuveli which is at 8 km towards northwest known as Kochuveli railway station, near the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Most of the long distance trains departs from here. A second terminal (South Terminal) was opened in 2004 to handle passenger traffic and later a West Terminal in 2007. To reduce traffic, the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station has 16 railway tracks Veraval Junction railway station is a railway station in the city of Veraval, Gujarat. It is under Bhavnagar railway division of Western Railway Zone of Indian Railways. Veraval Junction is "A" category station of Bhavnagar railway division of Western Railway zone. It is located at 7 m above sea level and has five platforms. As of 2016, a single diesel broad-gauge railway line exists. Fourteen trains halt, seven trains originate and eight trains terminate at this station. Diu Airport is 64 km away.
