NANDED (MAHARASHTRA) TO AMRITSAR (PUNJAB) : FULL TRAIN JOURNEY : 12715 HAZUR SAHIB NANDED - AMRITSAR SACHKHAND EXPRESS : FIRST CLASS AC SACHKHAND EXPRESS INTERIORS & FOOD : LOCOMOTIVE CHANGE FROM MLY WDM3A ALCO TWINS TO ET WAP-7 AT MANMAD JUNCTION : INDIAN RAILWAYS 12715/Sachkhand Express (PT) सचखंड एक्सप्रेस NED/Hazur Sahib Nanded -- ASR/Amritsar Junction The 12715 / 12716 Sachkhand Express is Superfast train operated by Indian Railways on a daily basis between the cities of Huzur Sahib Nanded in Maharashtra to Amritsar in Punjab. This train links two famous Sikh shrines. The train is named after Sachkhand Sahib Gurudwara, situated in Nanded. This train also links New Delhi, which is the capital of India, as well as the state capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal to Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna and Aurangabad of the Marathwada Region of Maharashtra. The train runs from Hazur Sahib Nanded via Purna Junction, Parbhani Junction, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad Junction, Chalisgaon Junction, Bhusaval Junction, Burhanpur, Khandwa Junction, Itarsi Junction, Bhopal Junction, Jhansi Junction, Gwalior Junction, Agra Cantonment, Mathura Junction, Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi, Panipat Junction, Ambala Cantonment Junction, Sirhind, Rajpura Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Jalandhar City Junction, Beas Junction to Amritsar Junction. The train makes stops at the same stations on its reverse journey, except for Hazrat Nizamuddin. 12715 Sachkhand Express leaves Hazur Sahib Nanded (NED) at 09:30 AM to reach its destination of Amritsar Junction (ASR) at 08:20 PM next day. 12716 Sachkhand Express leaves Amritsar Junction (ASR) at 04:25 AM and returns to Hazur Sahib Nanded (NED) at 02:10 PM next day. The train runs on both diesel and electric tractions. From Hazur Sahib Nanded to Manmad it is hauled by a WDM-3A twins locomotive of Moula Ali. From Manmad to Amritsar it is hauled by a Ghaziabad-based WAP-7 locomotive and vice versa. At the New Delhi Railway station, langar cooked from Veerji da Dera at Tilak Nagar in West Delhi is served in the train. People from Dera distribute the food to all pilgrimages returning from visiting the holy city of the tenth master. Hazur Sahib Nanded railway station (station code: NED) is a railway station serving Nanded city in Nanded district of Maharashtra state of India. It is under the Nanded railway division of South Central Railway zone of Indian Railways. It is located on the Secunderabad–Manmad line of Indian Railways. It is classified as an A1–category station, in terms of earnings. This Station connects Nanded with other major maharashtrian and indian cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Dhanbad, Shirdi, Pandharpur, New Delhi, Howrah, Bangalore, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Vishakhapatnam, Jaipur, Vijaywada, Ahmedabad, Surat, Patna, Sri Ganganagar. The station is located at 36 m above sea level and has four platforms. As of 2018, 89 passenger trains halt each day at this station. In 2008, the station was named after Hazur Sahib, a takht of Sikhism which is situated here. Amritsar Central railway station (station code: ASR) is a railway located in Amritsar district in the Indian state of Punjab and serves Amritsar. It is the largest and busiest railway station of Punjab. The Scinde, Punjab & Delhi Railway completed the Multan–Lahore–Amritsar line in 1865. The Amritsar–Attari section was completed on the route to Lahore in 1862. The 78 km (48 mi)-long Amritsar–Khem Karan railway line runs through Tarn Taran and Patti. A 54 km (34 mi)-long line links Amritsar to Dera Baba Nanak on the bank of the Ravi. The 107 km (66 mi) Amritsar–Pathankot route runs through Batala and Gurdaspur. The 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge Amritsar–Pathankot line was opened in 1884. The Amritsar railway station is located at an elevation of 233 metres (764 ft) and was assigned the code "ASR." With this, it has become the busiest railway station of the state in terms of passenger movement and train traffic. In the 2016 railway budget, the government has aimed to beautify the railway station as it is the main station of the holy city. The railway station is the first and only with WiFi in the division and CCTV has recently been enabled. In the recent railway budget, it has been mentioned that Amritsar Junction will be improved due to its importance in various fields. The Movement Control Office (MCO) for Armed Forces is also available at PF no 1. There are ten platforms under use, 1(A), 1(B), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Platform no. 8 is used for freight trains. Platform no. 1(B) is reserved exclusively for freight and passenger trains of Indian Army.
