Chiqui Rodriguez's video: AQUI Y AJAZZ THE MANN BROTHERS Rocket Love

@AQUI Y AJAZZ, THE MANN BROTHERS "Rocket Love"
The 80, s and 90s were very successful years for the music industry especially contemporary jazz. The time was awarded with the lounge and the rise of digital technology and therefore the compact disc, or CD as we already know it today, which worked great in its benefit and development. The hunger of the people for technological changes and new things increase the economy of the music industry, leading to a proliferation of record labels which came to integrate among the existing at that time. One of them was Digital Music Production, or (DMP). A pioneer in the advances of digital technological, creating a unique record label based in the concept of producing live music in their natural environment without any artificial elements that may alter the quality of it. While other companies used three steps in the process of a CD called "Digital Direct Disc," or DDD. DMP eliminated the second step mastering directly from the time of recording, which created a cleaner and less polluted sound. One of the recordings that impact me more from that label in 1993, was "Mann To Mann" http://www.allmusic.com/album/mann-to-mann-mw0000081372/credits collaboration between The Mann brothers. David and Ned, saxophonist and bassist respectively. Unfortunately, their only record under this label, but as expected, the quality, the selection of melodies and impressive cast of guest musicians. "Rocket Love", is one the songs from that album that has the most profound melody, so I extracted it from there and made a short video for all of you. I hope you like it.
