Chris Emerick's video: 2008 clackamas river cleanup

Filmed and edited by Chris Emerick. The 2008 Down the River Cleanup was the most successful grassroots cleanup yet on the Clackamas River near Portland, OR! We had the largest crowd ever attracted to the event of paddlers, fisherman, scuba divers, private land owners, non-profit organizations, and local businesses. We accommodated 50 more slots for the public, and it was our smoothest event yet raising over twice as much money from our silent auction, raffle, and t-shirt sales. Our free organic BBQ and folk music went off with temperatures in the mid 70s. We included a carpool/ride share program into the event this year through www.brightneighbor.com, and partnered with Sah-Hah-Lee golf course (on the banks of the Clackamas River) to do a FREE campout on the driving range the night before the event with more great LIVE folk music!
