Chris Saenz's video: 10 Fountain Pens I would not Repurchase

This series was inspired by watching A Little Bit of a Lot as she talked about this ... and then I dived into my pens and saw how helpful it was to evaluate my pens this way! I only considered pens I have purchased with my own money or channel ad revenue money. In a future video I will be covering all the pens gifted to me over the past 6 years. In this video here are the pens talked about: 1. Lamy 2000 B - I find the broad nib to be more like a stub ... it's a very smooth nice write for letter writing but not versatile enough for me and out of my price range for experimenting with a M and a F nib. I love the pen but I prefer a simpler filing system and less of a price tag. 2. Platinum 3776 Century Nice - B - this is more like a Medium but that's because it's a Platinum nib and a BB would have been better for me ... I was told ... I didn't listen. This pen was replaced for me because the section cracked after owning it for 2 weeks. I'm leery of the pen. I don't want to harm it. I just don't ink it up. I'm not happy with myself - I feel I should be able to love this pen. It was costly to leave in a pen case. And it's gorgeous I just don't write with it enough. 3. Jinhao X159 - F - I got a nib I'm not at all happy with it just doesn't lay down a consistent line. It needs work and knowing I have NO other nibs to put on it if I screw it up has made me hesitate. 4. Diplomat Magnum M - I love my Diplomat Magnum Broad (Purple Prismatic) but I don't care for the M ones at all and I have 2. Red and grey -- and I don't write with them. I tend to harvest them for converters. 5. Kaweco Perkeo - M - I have 3 of these - I love the pen bodies but the writing isn't as good - maybe the nibs are too soft for me or not broad enough ... I was super enthused in the beginning. Now they sit unused. 6. Sailor Lecoule Rose Quartz -- F/M -- this is a beauty but I feel it is like trying to dip a pin and write with it the line is so fine. I know it's probably just me. .... others love this! I want to love it because I it's beautiful such a nice looking nib holder but I don't like the writing experience. 7. Sailor Compass Purple - F/M -- this is a pen I wanted to love as well but I don't. It's too fine for me - the line width. 8. Pilot Metropolitan F - I don't like the line width on the F or M in the Metropolitan -- HOWEVER, I love the CM nib cursive medium - it's a sweet little stub like one and a pen friend recently sent me one which I am writing with and I love it. 9. Wing Sung 3003 - EF - too fine of a nib ... I now understand that no matter how much I love a pen body if it can't have a juicy M or a nice big B nib I probably won't like it unless it's super super smooth and hoses out the ink. This pen does not. Maybe a real Pilot Prera with a B would I'm not sure. 10. Stipula Passaporto - M - a smooth nib but I find I don't like the look of the pen very much (after the honeymoon -- because at first I liked it). It has never leaked. I had originally tried to find an older issued version of this pen that chrisrap52 had reviewed but I couldn't find one.
