Christendom Baffler's video: F1 2019 1 18 2 Default Setup Consistency Test: Haas

@[F1 2019][1.18.2] Default Setup Consistency Test: Haas
Full playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqsN216o13srz4BCMjS7fS-1eGfmlzr1E As I've still barely put any time into this game (or simracing in general over the last couple of years), I wanted to see how consistent I could be in each of the cars while trying to go as fast as possible on every lap. No assists, using the G27 wheel, always doing 11 valid laps and discounting laps featuring crashes. Top speed: 328km/h. Laps: * 1: 1:45.697 * 2: 1:45.604 * 3: 1:45.508 * 4: 1:45.351 * 5: 1:45.455 * 6: 1:45.331 * 7: 1:45.591 * 8: 1:45.624 * 9: 1:45.727 * 10: 1:45.369 * 11: 1:45.214 -0.003! You better believe I was pumped after that mad final lap. The Haas is a jewel once again. Superbly balanced in pretty much every regard, with an emphasis on excellent, rear-biased brakes and phenomenal stability to go along with its (undeservedly?) good downforce. The car has some major downsides, namely its traction (the worst of the Ferrari-powered cars, but in the sense that you'll need to be more modular with it, ie the opposite of something like the Mercedes) and its abysmal low speed turning rate, along with a very mediocre top speed. The car is in dire need of chassis upgrades as well as reduced drag, but even from the get-go this is already the best midfield car in the game. It and the Racing Point are likely to be exceptional on race day, with the Racing Point having an incredible top speed and somewhat higher raw potential and the Haas having excellent downforce and somewhat better consistency. If I was to specifically recommend two cars in this game, both of these would get my vote over the McLaren. There's also one weird thing I discovered while making this video: the lap times shown on the wheel when crossing the start/finish line do not match the lap times in the race director! My best time as shown in the race director is what was entered on the leaderboards, so I assume that the race director times are the correct ones, but still, what a weird bug. I also forgot to make the background panel for the standings table extend all the way down to the Williams, and messed up the sector 2 time of the 10th lap for this car (though thankfully it does not affect the average time). Oops.
