In a few days, starting August 30, 2021, Peloton will be relaunching its previously recalled Tread model, complete with a few changes I will discuss later in this video. With this launch, Peloton will now only offer ONE treadmill model, versus in the past, you could purchase the larger, more premium Tread+ OR the smaller, $2,000 less priced model regular Tread. As you may know, Peloton’s Tread and Tread+ models were recalled in early 2020, affecting nearly 125,000 Tread+ units and offering fixes to 6,450 Treads. What makes it different from its previous pre-launch version? 1. This tread requires a 4 digit safety code to unlock a new workout, known as the “Tread Lock” feature. 2.
