Friedrich Johann von Feustel (1824-1891), son of Karl Wittelbach of Bavaria, is the grandfather of my grandmother Else Bucherer-Feustel. Her father was Christian Feustel. Her daughter was my mother, Wilhelmine Bucherer. I got the name of my mother. My father was Roland von Bohr. Friedrich was the illegitimate son of Karl Wittelsbach of Bavaria (Karl von Bayern), the son of the King Maximilian I. Joseph. In 1873, the Bayreuth banker Friedrich Feustel acquired Gut Altneuhaus. He was a member of the Bavarian Parliament (1863-69) and the German Reichstag (1877-91). He was friends with Richard Wagner and is considered a great patron of the Bayreuth Festival. His son Franz Feustel (1851-1908) took over the estate. In 1887 he also acquired the Langenbruck estate, which he sold in 1891 to his brother Christian, merchant in Bayreuth. Else Feustel was the eldest daughter of Christian's eleven children. She married Max Bucherer at the age of 20. They had six children. The fourth daughter is my mother Wilhelmine Bucherer, harpist. Else Feustel war seine älteste Tochter von elf Kindern. Sie heiratete mit 20 Jahren Max Bucherer. Diese hatten 6 Kinder. Die vierte Tochter ist meine Mutter Wilhelmine Bucherer, Harfenistin.
