Sit ups are one of the most common exercises but one of the worst. They're bad for beginners, intermediates and advanced exercisers, they don't improve your core and they're bad for your spine. I'm yet to find a legitimate reason to do them, but since 2009 I've come up against the question "how do you train your abs?" (Face palm) There are so many better exercises out there, granted they aren't mainstream but they are better for your core and help improve your spine.
