Sometimes things dont go your way. Sometimes, you come into Engineers corner hot, and make a really shitty stab at the brake pedal, culminating in a not-so-free ambulance ride. This could have ended up so much worse than it did, and I'm thankful for the awesome PPIHC safety crew and great partners like @sparcousa @sparcofficial that make incredible safety equipment. I walked away from this because my truck was built like a Sherman tank, and I had the proper safety equipment. My Sparco Ergo seat, 6 point belts, and my Hans device SAVED MY ASS. I dont know how I made it through 20 plus years of roadracing and numerous nasty offs without one. Invest in your safety, and buy the best equipment you can. We were able to drive the rig back to California, rebuild the front chassis, and get back in the race for qualifying. Unfortunately the motor hurt a piston and was unable to continue on day 3.
