Lotus Temple Delhi | कमल मंदिर दिल्ली | Full Tour & Information The Lotus Temple is a Bahá’í house of worship built in New Delhi, India, in 1986, famous for its unique architectural construction in the shape of a large lotus flower. The building consists of 27 free-standing petals made of concrete and coated in white marble (sourced from Greece’s Penteli mountain) and includes a central prayer hall, walkways, ground with ponds, and a greenhouse. The Bahá’í Faith (founded in the nineteenth century in Iran) teaches that all religions are valuable as manifestations of God. Hence, the Lotus Temple is open to all visitors, regardless of religious affiliation, to use for worship. Eleven other Bahá’í places of worship exist worldwide, including temples in Kampala, Uganda; Wilmette, Illinois; and Panama City, Panama. बहाई धर्म की आस्था से जुड़ा राजधानी दिल्ली के नेहरू प्लेस के पास स्थित लोटस टेम्पल का निर्माण बहाई धर्म के संस्थापक बहा उल्लाह ने करवाया था। आपको बता दें कि कमल के फूल के आकार की तरह बने इस लोटस टेम्पल का निर्माण काम नवंबर, 1986 में पूरा हुआ था, जिसका उद्घाटन 24 दिसंबर, 1986 को किया गया था, जबकि आम पब्लिक के लिए इस मंदिर को नए साल पर 1 जनवरी 1987 को खोला गया है। Thank you so much for watching.
