Citizens For Justice's video: The Columbia Fireworks War 2022 Documentary

After Columbia Missouri's epic 2018 Firework War, Boone County Sheriff Dewayne Carey vowed it would be the last war the city would ever see. July 4th, 2022 was the night that declaration would be put to the test. As night fell, a group of young firework warriors descended on El Chaparral, a neighborhood just east of the city limits, to face off against their cross-town adversaries. Although the wars had continued since the sheriff's promise to stop them, they had occurred within the city, leaving the task of stopping the war in the hands of the Columbia Police Department, but this melee would fall squarely on the shoulders of the Boone County Sherriff's Department. Without the guidance of previous leaders Ahmonta Harris (Monnie Man), Daniel Ayers (Draco), or Orlandis Harris Jr. (Baby O), the 2022 edition of the war found a young organizer named Kenny in charge, trying to navigate a tradition that had existed long before he was born.
