Our City-County Planning team is now taking applications for its 2023 Planning Academy until Sept. 28. Find out how you can participate on . Transcript: If you’re interested in learning more about how the planning process works in Durham, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our City-County Planning Department is now taking applications for its 2023 Planning Academy. The goal of the free, five-week interactive course is to empower and provide residents with the tools and knowledge they need to participate in planning processes. Participants will have the chance to learn more about how the planning process works in Durham, how to use available planning tools, and how to equitably engage in planning work. The academy will include four two-hour sessions that will take place in the evenings between October 19 and November 9. A closing ceremony will be held on November 11. Childcare, a meal, and transportation options will be provided for each session. Applications are due on September 28.
