City of Lloydminster's video: Lloydminster Public Library launches new visual identity location

@Lloydminster Public Library launches new visual identity, location
The Lloydminster Public Library (LPL) has revealed a new visual identity, along with design plans for its future home within the LloydMall. This joint announcement marks the culmination of years of collaboration and planning between the LPL and the City of Lloydminster. The new identity reflects facets of the Library’s offerings, including traditional books and programming, but also modern technology-based components. The energetic new logo and brand colours are intended to inspire feelings of wonderment and inclusivity. The new space (Unit , 5211 44 Street) will feature a makerspace, recording studio, private study pods and areas dedicated to teenagers and children. These offerings will be in addition to what patrons already expect to see in a public library – items such as books and magazines, on-site programming and computers with internet access. Construction was awarded to Craftex Builders of Lloydminster, Alta., in January 2021, with work beginning immediately. The new Lloydminster Public Library is slated to open in summer 2021.
