Sharing tips about what to take and how to pack, and the mistakes I made when I moved abroad ! Hi! I'm Clara, a French gal now living in Paris after having stayed six months in San Francisco as an intern and studied in Fudan University, Shanghai, for a year. After two big moves abroad by plane, I've learned about what questions to ask myself when packing and how to save up space and be smart about it ! I'm still no expert of course, so please feel free to share your own advice and opinions in the comments :) What you need to think about : 1) You are going to leave things that are important to you behind. 2) Give yourself a goal for how many pieces of luggage you’re taking with you 3) Don’t pack clothes, pack outfits 4) Think about anything that you use that might be difficult to buy where you’re going 5) Consider what electronics you want to take with you 6) You probably don’t need to bring books, DVDs or CDs or any objects really, but do bring a card deck and pictures 7) Don’t take food 8) Roll your clothes and use packing cubes 9) Other techniques to save up space 10) If you have a checked-in luggage, think about how you want to split your things between carry on and checlked in ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Instagram @clara_ontheroad (I upload lots of pictures there and answer tons of questions !)
