Clarion USA's video: Clarion Builds Updates a German Unicorn 1993 BMW 850CI 6-speed Conversion

Back in 2014 we kicked the Clarion Builds program off with the build of an iconic BMW 2002, and since completing its final mission of bringing big money for a worthy charity at auction earlier this year, we’ve had a burning desire to get our hands on another Bavarian beauty. When the opportunity arose to facilitate the build of 1993 BMW 850CI, a pretty rare V12-powered grand tourer, we jumped at it and worked with several hand-selected industry partners to restore and modify this car to better than new condition, while also bolstering its drivetrain, handling, creature comforts, exterior design and of course the electronics. In this video, watch along as the car undergoes a drivetrain upgrade, where our partners at Coast Motor Werk swap out the factory 4-speed automatic gearbox for a Getrag 6-speed manual and change the final drive ratio to be more deserving of the car’s Ultimate Driving Machine title.
