ClassicalGasMotors's video: 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Custom Sedan

@1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Custom Sedan
1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Custom When 1933 rolled around it was time for Chevrolet to change things up and replace the Eagle from years prior. The result was the Master and Master Deluxe line of vehicles. The Master Deluxe was the more expensive luxurious model offered by Chevrolet and although the name continued until 1942 the design changed drastically throughout its run. Every year there were changes in appearance as the style moved from the typical early 30's look with a flat nose and wide fenders to more rounded fenders, V front end and more. Cars were becoming much more roomy for passengers and in 1935 they switched over to a "turret top" design eliminating the need for any wood in their construction. This was a unique time for automobiles with GM introducing the "Art and Color Section" headed by pioneer Harley Earl for the sole purpose of focusing on design quality and eye catching style. This 1939 Master Deluxe is a beautiful example of one of these cars and is among the nicest around. The build was professionally done and nothing left untouched. Keeping with that "Art and Color" ideal of GM this is a truly well thought out and designed car. The car was purchased from its original owner prior to the build. That's over 80 years with only 2 owners! The current owner is a car builder who is well respected in the industry and built the car for himself. He didn't cut any corners on the car. It has been nicknamed "The Godfather" and has been road tested for over 10,000 miles. The body is in excellent condition and all original steel with the exception of the widened rear fenders and custom built running boards with one of a kind stainless steel trim. The paint looks awesome out in the sunshine and was done by one of the best paint & body guys in the area. It is a 2000 Saturn Black Blue paint with custom pinstriping by Frank Palmer, who you guessed it, is also one of the best. Anyone that has laid there hands on this car during its construction were pros. The stainless steel bumpers have a beautiful finish and feature hidden bolts and custom hand formed painted fillers for a slick seamless look. If GM had seen these they would have tried to steal the idea. All of the polished stainless on the car has a nice shine including the laser cut front grill. H4 headlights have been added up front with chrome LED taillights in rear along with a 3rd brake light for extra visibility. Other very clean modifications are the shaved door handles and the frenched license plate. You are going to read "one of a kind" throughout many features on this car but one of the most notable has to be the wheels. If you don't recognize them right off that's because these owner designed wheels were custom built by EVOD industries. There is no other set of them in the world, the only one is on this car. The spokes were designed to mimic aluminum connecting rods paying tribute to the owners Drag Racing history. They are engraved with the owners name and also have custom center caps to document their uniqueness. If you purchase the car not only will you be getting a high end classic but you will have the only other set of these wheels in the world. Act fast before he changes his mind! Should you want to purchase the car without them we are willing to consider a lesser price of $62,500. They are wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza Z tires that have plenty of life left in them. Lift the nice steel hood from either side to reveal the beautifully dressed up small block Chevy 350 motor. There is polished billet components everywhere you look and all fasteners are stainless steel. Even the lines and hoses are a nice combo of both braided and hard stainless. It is definitely something you will want to show off but also runs out extremely well. It has no smoking issues and is a reliable car to cruise around in. With power disc brakes and power rack & pinion steering it has been set up to be a comfortable driver. The Texas heat is no match for it with a polished aluminum Griffin radiator, dual electric fans and a custom shroud. The transmission is a 700R4 automatic which sends power back to the 8 inch Ford rear end. It sits on a complete Fatman chassis with all polished stainless components throughout. Other very well done features include the March serpentine belt system, polished stainless steel tank, and polished stainless box with shelf for the battery under the right front fender. We are sure something got left out but we are confident any component in question on the car is of the highest quality. The interior was completely redesigned in a high end Beige glove leather that has been very well maintained since finished. It has very nice bucket seats up front with shoulder harnesses and in back it has lap belts.
