ClassicalGasMotors's video: 1967 Chevrolet Corvette with Numbers Matching 427 Big Block

@1967 Chevrolet Corvette with Numbers Matching 427 Big Block
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Named after a small maneuverable warship, the Corvette was first unveiled in 1953 at the GM Motorama. It is currently the only 2 seater sports car produced in the US by any of the big manufacturers. Many have dubbed it "America's Sports Car" and Automotive News has declared it "the most popular sports car in history." It serves as Chevrolet's halo vehicle meaning that its unique look and limited production is intended to help draw people towards Chevrolet's other lines of cars. They obviously have a hit with the Corvette as they are still being produced today and have become very desirable. They provide a sporty exotic look but at a much more competitive price point than a lot of the foreign exotics like Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The second generation spanned from 1963 to 1967 and is where the "Sting Ray" name was born. The unique body design obviously took some inspiration from the sea creature so it suits them well and it was the first coupe to introduce the tapered rear look. Of the C2 cars they had a few different unique versions with the big block cars being king. This very nice 1967 is a true big block car and is in beautiful condition. It has undergone a full restoration in the past and the Black paint has a great shine. It has been kept very stock and original except for the colors which would have originally been Goodwood Green. The flip up headlights work properly and it has those distinctive double tail lights as well which are also working correctly. Being a big block it has that unique "stinger" hood with 427 badges and side fender vents. The car rides on its original style bolt on finned wheels with bowtie center caps and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Not only is the car an original big block car, it still has its numbers matching L36 427 ci V8 powering it down the road. It is the single 4 barrel 390 hp version of which only 3,832 were produced. It all looks very stock under the hood with a 427 chrome air cleaner and a majority of the motor being painted Chevrolet Orange. The factory 4 speed transmission is also numbers matching and shifts smoothly. The car was just thoroughly looked over by a builder and had multiple things repaired/replaced. The brakes, cooling and fuel systems were fully gone through and it received a fresh battery. The car runs great and has a lot of power. It sounds perfect through the original side pipes and has zero smoking or issues. This is also a factory AC car which is another rare option that sets it apart from others. K12 June date code 67 437 Year, Coupe body style 430AA Green Vinyl Interior S St Louis manufacturing plant 983 Goodwood Green paint 1 Chevrolet 9 Corvette 4 V8 engine 37 Corvette Coupe 7 1967 year S St Louis manufacturing plant 120637 Sequence number between 100001 thru 122940 The interior of the car was also originally Green but was converted to Black during the restoration. The vinyl bucket seats are in great condition as is the carpeting, headliner, and door panels. The dash has a very original look with all of its factory gauges, push button radio, knobs and switches. Everything is working properly except for the clock. In front of the driver sits the factory 3 spoke woodgrain steering wheel with Corvette flag horn button. The rear storage area is all nicely carpeted and it comes with a fire extinguisher for safety. This is a very nice example of an original big block car and being all numbers matching with AC makes it quite the desirable car. It is an investment level classic and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
